Michael  & April Addison

Lead Pastor

Pastor Mike's greatest calling is being a husband and a father.  He and his wife April have two kids, Peyton and Emma.  Peyton is a junior at Western Kentucky University and Emma is a sophormore at the University of the Cumberlands where she also cheers. Pastor Mike is a gifted pastor, speaker, evangelist, leadership consultant, professor and business administrator.  Pastor Mike is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God International.  He also serves as the District Overseer for our region. He earned his Bachelors Degree and MBA from The University of the Cumberlands and is currently working on his Docorate in Business Leadership.  Pastor Mike also works as the President of the Appalachian Children's Home,  President of Bluegrass Foster Agency and is the President of the Alumni Board at The University of the Cumberlands.  His wife April, earned her Bachelors Degree in Business Adminstration and Elementary Education from the University of VA-Wise. She also as a Master's Degree and Rank 1 in Education through Northern Kentucky University.  She has been an educator for 23 years now and is currently teaching in Laurel Co. Though the Addisons are proud residents of the State of Kentucky, they bleed orange!  Go Vols!!!

Paula Farmer

Senior Pastor 

Paula has always known her ministry is for hurting churches.  After evangelizing for 22 years, she and her husband, Mike, planted New Hope Ministries with 74 members on July 11, 2003.  The heart of the church was, and still is, rebuilding broken people.  Paula has been in ministry 37 years. She has one son Shannon, who is married to Missy, and daughter Angel who is married to Chad. Stevens.  She also has five grandchildren Sam, Max, Cole, Anabella, and Benjamin who she loves to the moon and back.  There is never a dull moment in her life.  Mike Farmer is now in heaven where he has received his reward for his labors.

Jared and Kayla Fields 

Worship Pastor

Jared & Kayla lead us into God's presence each week as New Hope’s Worship Pastors. They married in 2009, and have three wonderful children together, Adalyn, Ayden, and Alayna. Jared began singing at a very early age, and has been a minister of music since he was a teenager.
Both Jared & Kayla earned their bachelor’s degrees from EKU. Jared is now a high school mathematics teacher. He recently earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from EKU as well as a Rank 1 Education Specialist degree from the University of the Cumberland’s. Kayla went on to earn a doctorate in dental medicine from UK, and serves her community as a dental director in public health.
At New Hope, they oversee all areas connected to creating a positive worship experience. Jared directs our vocalists, praise team, choir and musicians. Through great passion and talent, Jared and Kayla lead anointed worship in the sanctuary and encourage practicing worship in our own lifestyles.

Ronnie and Sue Doyle

Senior Adult Pastors

Ronnie & Sue Doyle lead the “The Young at Heart” Senior Adult Ministries at New Hope. They have 5 children and 12 Grandchildren.  Pastor Ronnie is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God International and he completed the Church of God Minister Internship Program in 1984. He has served as Lead Pastor, District Overseer, and as a member of the Exam Board for the COG Executive office in Kentucky.  Sue has a passion to be a helper for the church no matter the task. She plays piano, sings and she is an accomplished Bible teacher for any age group. She works at the Appalachian Children's Home in Foster Care.  Pastor Ronnie and Sue love working with the Senior Adults at New Hope Ministries. Whether it be worshiping together in Spirit filled church services, taking trips with our senior group and  having fun, fellowship, and of course great food with those we hold dear in our hearts.  Above all of this though is stressing the importance of walking in faith in every season of life and spreading the gospel as we continue our journey through this  life together until He calls us home.

Brandon & Sarah Harbin

Young  Adults Pastors

Brandon & Sarah are charter members of New Hope and are currently the Young Marrieds Pastors.  They are totally committed to delivering the gospel to our students so they experience the power of God for themselves.  They have two beautiful girls, Adeline and Lindy.   Sarah and Brandon also serve on our praise team and leads our weekly young adults class, "Rooted," that meeting in the main santuary on Wednesday nights at 6:45pm.  Sarah works as a pediatric dental assistant at Barnhill Pediactric Denistry.   Brandon is an RN at Baptist Health Corbin and has a passion for people.  He enjoys anything outdoors, making music and spending quality time with his family.

Devin and Megan Moses

Youth Pastors 

Devin and Megan Moses are the student pastors of The ROCK student ministries. They have a son, Issac.  They have a passion for working with the ROCK Students. They seek to see students COME to know Jesus, CONNECT to His Church, and build their life on the ROCK (Jesus)! Devin also volunteers in our media team as the sound technichian. Devin is a pharmacutical tech at a local pharamacy here in Corbin and Megan is the Corbin Preschool Child Care Director and Corbin Primary's 21st Century Corrdinator.

Jacob and Sydni Chesnut

Children's Pastor

Jacob and Sydni have been married since 2021. Jacob graduated from EKU with his Bachelors in Accounting and Sydni graduated from UC with a Bachelors in Biology and is currently working on her Master's in Teaching. Jacob owns a local business and Sydni is a teacher in Laurel Co. They are group leaders for young adults who may or may not be married and don't currently have children. Jacob and Sydni have a passion for showing kids the love of Jesus. They want to make learning the word of God fun and instill the tool belt students need to be equipped with to stand strong in their faith. 

Joe and Heather Kersey

Children's Pastor

 Joe and Heather Kersey have been members of New Hope Ministries since 2009. Joe is a seasoned minister with over thirty years of ministry experience and will obtain his bachelor's degree in behavioral science with a minor in education in December. Joe and Heather have two children, Kristen (Braden) Sevier, and Josiah. Joe and Heather are driven to advance the kingdom of God through their commitment to the same faith that they were founded upon.    

Cheryl Gibson 

Finance Officer 

Cheryl has lived in the area since 2000 and has been at New Hope Ministries since 2004.  She is married to James, and they have one son, Kevin and daughter in law Carrie.  They also have two grandchildren, Caitlin and Clara.  Cheryl has held various positions at New Hope such as Sunday School teacher, Children's Church worker, work in the church office and with Vacation Bible School in different areas

Donna Carter

Pastor Michael's Assistant

Donna has lived in the Tri-County area most of her life. She is married to James.  They have 3 children Michael, April and Nicole and 5 grandchildren. The Lord sent Donna and her family to New Hope in 2017. James also serves on the Pastoral Council for New Hope. Donna is very thankful for the opportunities the Lord and New Hope have given her.
